Backside Steel Pictures

The crew has started constructing the steel from the back of the building towards the front. That means that the service department is under construction first and it will be gradually built towards the showroom.

The concrete crew is finishing the sidewalks and the unloading pad as well.

Louisiana Spring Fling 2008

Hello Everyone;

It’s that time of year again! The holidays are over and everyone is itching to break out that new gear. After all of the back to back boat shows and the Mardi Gras season, it will be time for the south’s largest wake fest, Louisiana Spring Fling 08.

LSF is a four day event in the heart of the south’s swampland that brings all of Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi’s best together for one big party. When the founders of Spring Fling got together and created this event I don’t think they had it in their minds that it would last this long or turn in to the fun packed event it has become and this year’s event promises to be the biggest and craziest ever. LSF is running ten years strong and we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
LSF 08 will have a something for everyone to enjoy. LSF kicks off on Thursday May 8th with Vendor set up and an all day free-ride.

Friday the 9th is normally when everyone starts to roll in from out of town. The day will be filled with riding and some of the best Cajun food from the many local restaurants in the area. There will also be vendor viewing all day from some of the state’s top wakeboard gurus, and the ever famous video premier that night at the McGee’s Landing Bar and Restaurant. Following the video we’ll throw down with one of the south’s hottest DJ’s from our boys over at TUNZ music for one slamming after party and bonfire.

Saturday will start early with breakfast being cooked by the good ole Cajun cooks at McGee’s Landing. The vendor areas will open around 9:00 a.m. for everyone to check out the latest boats and gear for the 2008 season and great deals on all the left over ‘07 gear. Of coarse we will enjoy riding all day and like normal everyone tying their boats up for the all day party. That after noon will be the ever famous hottest ladies of LSF bikini contest with a $250 prize and gear. Also new to LSF this year will be the LSF free-ride contest which will cater to all riding ability’s, instead of the same guys who always compete. We’re going to have a four round event contest that will test riders to throw their largest (1) Invert, (2) Spin, (3) Full ride set and (4) biggest tweaked out trick. Saturday night is when the biggest and baddest riders throw it all down for the title of Rail King of LSF ‘08 and the $1,000 prize. Following the Rail Jam downtown the party will roll over the hottest Rail Jam after party this summer, downtown to which ever club hosts the after party. If you came to Louisiana Rail Fest 2007 and made it to the after party then you definitely don’t want to miss this one.

Sunday will be the last day of LSF ’08. Vendors will open the booths again around 9:00 a.m. for everyone and breakfast will be served until 10:00 a.m. at McGee’s landing. Sunday will be a relaxed day with Cajun bands on the LSF band stand. After lunch when everyone recovers from Saturday night were going to start the LSF ‘08 Wake King Double-Up Contest. This year’s riders will be battling it out against some of the top riders for bragging rights as the King of Wake and a hand full of cold hard cash. LSF ‘08 is ten years strong and we plan on making this the best ever so remember to get your crew together and make you plans to be in the swamp for Louisiana Spring Fling 2008.

Hyperlite Dominates at Wake Games

What an incredible weekend for Hyperlite. Hyperlite product and/or riders not only took the podium, but won almost every single division.

Junior Boys was won by Freddie Wayne on his Motive and Murray bindings. He came and talked to us after then event, and Eddie Beverly was gathering his info as a prospect for some kind of product sponsorship. Freddie was totally stoked on our product.

Junior Men’s had Jimmy Lariche taking first overall yet again. First, Board Up Miami, and now Wake Games! He had some tough competition with Bob Soven, but Jimmy’s nose grab crow, Batwing, huge floating bs 180, bs 5, dum dum, and very solid backside lipslides put him ahead of the competition as the clear-cut champion!

Nicola Butler won her first event ever as she competed in her first Pro Women’s competition. She was a tireless worker all week. After her heat would be done for the day, she would take off for the cable park and ride for an hour or two really working on the sliders and a few of her spins. Our Pro Men were watching her and were really impressed! And what is most amazing is that she dominated the Women’s competition only four weeks after dislocating her shoulder!

Brian Grubb had an incredible finish to his final run to fend off Danny Hampson and Reed Hanson for first place. After a fall on his first pass, Brian put together a clinic of a second pass landing shuv-it indys, shuv-it indy 180s, and a bs 3. The whole riders dock was pumped up seeing him dominate his second and final pass to take first place as the Men’s wakeskate champion.

And Rusty Malinoski had as close of a finish as you could ask for with Phillip Soven but he came away as the Champion. In the finals were Josh Sanders, Adam Errington, Rusty, and Phillip Soven. Rusty came out charging with a melon crow, heel 7, bs 1, 270 transfer on the transfer box, stale glide, switch malto mobe, nuclear backroll to blind, and nailed a huge heelside backside 7 off the double up. Rusty stood up both passes and just had to watch Phil stand up both of his as well. But when the announcer called Rusty’s name for the Wake Games Pro Men’s Champion, the crowd went crazy, and Rusty walked proudly displaying his Marek 146 as his weapon of choice as he continues his quest to capture the King of Wake title for 2008.

Here are some pictures of the podiums!

International Showdown at Air Nautique Wake Games Finals

ORLANDO, Fla. – The world's best wakeboarders battled it out on the waters of the Orlando Watersports Complex today in the final rounds of the 2008 Air Nautique Wake Games.

Today's main event featured an international showdown between Rusty Malinoski (Humboldt, Sask.), Phillip Soven (Longwood, Fla.), Adam Errington (Ullapool, Sct.) and Josh Sanders (Nowra, Aus.) in the Pro Men's Division finals. All four rippers took to the water, going huge and holding nothing back, as all four riders wanted to kick off the 2008 King of Wake season with a win. Overall it was a tight battle, but ultimately, the "Bone Crusher," Rusty Malinoski, took home the title. Soven, Errington and Sanders respectively rounded out the finals.

Although Phillip Soven didn't take home the win today, the current wakeboard world champion did pick-up some extra cash thanks to Rockstar Energy Drink. Soven was named the winner of the Rockstar Energy Drink Best Trick Award, a $1,000 cash bonus for landing the most impressive trick of the contest.

It's only Nicola Butler's second year as a pro rider, but this talented female ripper from the United Kingdom is already riding like a true veteran. Today's win is historical, not only because it is Butler's first pro title, but it also goes down as the first win of the inaugural Queen of Wake series.

Brian Grubb, Reed Hansen, Danny Hampson and Andrew Pastura battled it out on the water today in the Pro Wakeskate finals. All four shredders were holding nothing back today, as each rider was looking to capture the win. When everything was said and done, Brian Grubb took the top spot to claim the title. Grubb has won the Pro Wakeskate title at the Air Nautique Wake Games every year since the contest's inception.

Six of wakeboarding's future stars took the water today for the Jr. Men's finals. Although it was a close battle for most of these rippers, Jimmy LaRiche stood out from the competition, scoring nearly 20-points higher than his next closest competitor, Harley Clifford. LaRiche takes home the 2008 title.

Although Harley Clifford didn't take home the win today in the Jr. Men's finals, he did pick-up some extra cash at the Air Nautique Wake Games thanks Pleasurecraft Marine Engine Company (PCM). Clifford won the PCM Amateur Best Trick Award, a $500 bonus presented to an amateur rider chosen by tournament officials for landing the most impressive trick of the contest.

After leading his heat in the semifinals, Sam Thomson continued his success in the Men's I Division by posting the high score in today's finals, taking home the title. Tim Clinton again led the Men's II Division and claimed the win.

Three of the most talented and youngest rippers in world battled it out on the water today in the Jr. Boys finals, but in the end, Ben Watts ended-up taking home the title. In the Boys finals, Freddie Wayne claimed the top spot.

After everything was said and done, Shaun Murray's crew once again won the Air Nautique Wake Games team title and cash prize. Team Murray consisted of: Shaun Murray, Dean Smith, Josh Sanders, Brian Grubb, Kate Laird, Emily Copeland Durham, Joe Phillips, Kevin Michael, Julian Cohen and Freddie Wayne.

Please Remember To Schedule Service!

This is just a friendly reminder... All service is done by appointment only! We try to schedule all of our service boats in because we are limited on parking. By calling and making an appointment, you are ensuring that you have a parking space reserved, and we can get you in and out as soon as possible.

We are closed on Sundays and Mondays, and we still have people dropping their boat off on those days without an appointment, which means that their boat is sitting out front unprotected for anyone to just pull up, hook on and take off with it.

Please call our service department at 972.221.3705 to schedule a service appointment so that we can get you in and out as fast as possible. If the boat is dropped off without an appointment, our service guys have no choice but to put it at the end of the line and try to get to it when they can. A lot of times this means a couple of weeks.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Marty

Foundation Shots

This shot looks directly at the front of the building towards the back. The front part of the building (the large area in the shape of a diamond) is the showroom.

This shot shows one of the entrance ramps into the showroom. From this angle, you are looking directly across the showroom floor.

From this angle, you are looking from the very back of the building towards the front. This long rectangular area is the service area. The service area is huge, measuring 80 feet across and allowing us to house six 24 foot Supra SSVs inside with the service doors closed!

This is a side shot looking out across the service area.

This is our traditional shot from across the street. The building is pointing almost directly at where I am standing. The building is in the shape of a large arrow. The point of the arrow is the showroom, and the back of the arrow is the service department.
Confused? Hopefully I can start posting building construction pictures next week!
