Parking Lot Nearing Completion

At 5 o'clock this morning a convoy of concrete trucks showed up to the site to finish the pouring of the parking lot. The parking lot was about 40% complete, but pouring had to pause for a couple of days so the last of the underground utilities could be tied in. This morning, pouring resumed and an army of workers were out there smoothing out what looks like is going to be an awesome cruiser skateboard drive!

This picture is looking directly at the front of the building. The building is in the shape of a large arrow, and this is the very front point of the showroom. You can get an idea of its size from the angle of where the parking lot is headed. All the dirt in the middle of the picture is where the new dealership will stand!

We Have Concrete!

The crew started to pour the parking lot first thing Monday Morning! It will take most of the week to get the concrete poured! I am wondering how long our service guys can avoid the temptation to run over there and write their names in the wet concrete!

Construction- End Week 4

The entire parking lot has not been rebarred and formed. The guys were at the site most of the week putting in the rest of the underground utilities and tying them in with the main lines. Looks like we are scheduled to pour concrete early on Monday Morning!

I will keep you posted!

Well, as previously reported, the WWA Wakeboard World Championships will be held in Oklahoma City, OK on September 4-7, 2008. Worlds is an event that is pulled by Supra, and we (Waterski Boats Dallas) are proud to say that Supra has asked us to be the Host Dealer for this huge event!

There will be much more info to come, but here is what we know so far... I have also been informed that the host hotel looks like it will be the Sheraton. http://www.sheratonokc.com/gallery.htm

More info will be posted here (http://www.kingofwake.com/article.jsp?ID=49221) and here (http://www.thewwa.com/), and of course on this blog as we get closer to the event!

Dallas Boat Show Booth

Didn't get to make it out to the Dallas Boat Show? Here are a few pictures of our booth and how it came out...

2nd Weekend of the Dallas Boat Show

Wow, the 2nd weekend of the Dallas Winter Boat Show was great! The first weekend was excellent, but the 2nd was even better!

Chad Sharpe spent much of his time in the booth, hanging out and talking wakeboarding. Tim and Ashley from Ronix and Brian from Hyperlite all spent quite a bit of time as well helping and answering questions. The help from these guys is greatly appreciated!

Thanks to all of you that made it out to the Boat Show and made this show the best to date! Needless to say, we are very excited about the coming season!

Construction- End of Week 2

Wow, our guys are cooking on the construcion of our new Dealership! In fact, just minutes after these pictures were taken, a lumber truck showed up to drop off the goods for the guys to get the foundation formed! They are predicting that we will have concrete poured next week!

2008 Dallas Winter Boat Show- First Weekend

The first weekend of the 2008 Dallas Winter Boat Show was very good. Parks and Byerly spent a good amount of time in the booth hanging out and signing autographs, while Watson, Adkinson and Lyman made short guest apperances every now and then!
Be on the look out for many more pros in town this weekend. They will be at the Show on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and many of them will be hitting the rail at the Rail Jam on Friday Night!
Also, all remaining inventory is on clearance at the Boat Show! I do not want to pack this stuff up and haul it back to the dealership, so come on by if you are looking for a smoking deal! (This goes for Boats as well!)

Construction after only one week

Exactly one week after breaking ground, the existing asphalt has already been removed! The fill dirt is being brought in and concrete shouldn't be too much longer! More details to come!
